Next November 13 will be the 6th World Day of the Poor.
Let us open the doors of our churches and our hearts to the most fragile! Let's not be afraid!
In his message for this 6th World Day of the Poor, Pope Francis invites us “not to falter and to renew the initial motivation” of our relationship with the poor, each according to their means and talents. “Faced with the poor, we don't make rhetoric, but we roll up our sleeves and we put faith into practice through a direct involvement that cannot be delegated to anyone.”
This next World Day of the Poor is like a magnificent opportunity to convert us, to transform ourselves internally to put ourselves on an equal footing with those who suffer from “poverty that kills.”
Let's recognize our own poverty, let's experience our weaknesses by going out to meet the poorest, let's experience a “mutual love that makes one another bear each other's burdens so that no one is abandoned or excluded.”
“The message of Jesus shows us the way and makes us discover that there is a poverty that humbles and kills, and that there is another poverty, his, that liberates and makes you serene.”
So let's go Fratelli, GO! Going forward to make this November 13 the beginning of a beautiful adventure of lasting interior transformation, of our Church and of our world, by taking small, simple and concrete actions!
Let's stay connected on our networks and through prayer, share your experiences and ideas with us, and together let's build “a poor Church for the poor”!
