Our Lady of Tenderness, Pilgrim of Hope

Our Lady of Tenderness is on her way to console the suffering, pray with them and prepare for the Jubilee!

Until the Jubilee (November 2025), 25 STATUES OF OUR LADY OF TENDERNESS WILL BE TRAVELLING THROUGH THE 5 CONTINENTS TO MEET THE MOST SUFFERING COMMUNITIES.

Her actions :

Through her visit, she consoles her most needy children.
She is a messenger of peace in places ravaged by conflict (war-torn countries, prisons, camps, etc.).
She relays the voices and prayers of the world’s poorest. Her visit is an opportunity to collect and share prayer intentions and testimonies to federate a prayer network.

Objectives:

Visiting the “poorest” (families in difficulty, street children, difficult neighborhoods, prisons, camps, migrants, etc.)
Organize prayer times (rosary, intercession, prayer for peace…) and stimulate and receive prayer from all for personal and universal intentions.
Weaving a universal web of friendship and prayer for peace, starting with the smallest of children
Preparing for the Jubilee of the Poor: the Jubilee theme given by Pope Francis is “Pilgrims of Hope“. By visiting the most afflicted communities, Mary is drawing all her children to follow her on her “pilgrimage of hope”. Each community visited will provide a square of textile that will be sewn together with all the others to form a large cloak. During the Jubilee of the Poor in Rome, we’ll take part in a grand procession with Our Lady of Tenderness wearing her mantle: the world’s troubled communities will be represented in Rome with all the intentions they’ve entrusted to us!

Where will she travel?

Wherever the poorest people want to welcome her! To be able to send a statue, we need several partner locations in a given geographical area. We work through partner associations (Children of the Mekong, ACN, Misericordia, etc.) and dioceses to send Our Lady of Tenderness on pilgrimage.

When’s departure?

The first statue has already left! On May 31st, feast of the Visitation, Our Lady of Tenderness set off to bring her consolation to Bafia (Cameroon). Welcomed by Bishop Emmanuel Dassi, this project is part of the pastoral program of the Diocese of Bafia, which aims to put the poorest of the poor ever more at the heart of the Church.

So that Mary can visit as many poor people as possible and dispense her tenderness, we need your prayers! The visited people will also pray and intercede for the world. We will share their intentions and testimonies, so as to federate a large network of prayer and friendship around the little ones.
